Best for raising capital and meeting investors
Cannabis Capital Conference (IgniteIt)
The Cannabis Capital Conference has run for more than 20 editions, originally as the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference. It is built around investor and dealmaker meetings rather than an expo floor. The next edition is March 25–26, 2027 at the Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Best for policy and federal reform
Capital & Policy Summit (IgniteIt)
A one-day summit in Washington on rescheduling, banking and what federal change means for operators and investors. The 2025 edition drew more than 300 executives along with a US Senator and two members of Congress. The 2026 summit is November 18 at the Grand Hyatt Washington.
NCIA Lobby Days
The National Cannabis Industry Association's annual trip to Capitol Hill, where members meet with congressional offices. The 2026 edition ran May 12–14. Choose it if you want meetings with lawmakers' staff, rather than a conference program.
Best for vendors, equipment and the expo floor
MJBizCon
The biggest show on the calendar, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, December 1–4, 2026. If you sell equipment, packaging, software or services to operators, this is where the most buyers are in one place. The size cuts both ways: plan your meetings in advance or the week disappears into the expo hall.
CannaCon
Regional B2B expos with education for growers and a finance day before each show. 2027 dates: Virginia Beach (Mar 18–19), Las Vegas (May 13–14) and St. Paul (Jul 30–31).
Best for brands and retail buyers
Hall of Flowers
A curated brand showcase where licensed brands meet dispensary buyers. Upcoming: New York City, Oct 21–22, 2026 and Sacramento, Nov 4–5, 2026. The California show moved to Sacramento this year after eight years in Santa Rosa.
NECANN
Regional conventions across the Northeast and Midwest: Boston (Apr 9–10, 2027), Minnesota (May 14–15, 2027), Virginia (Oct 1–2, 2027) and Rhode Island (Oct 15–16, 2027). Its New Jersey Cannabis Convention is held each September in Atlantic City.
Best for state market deep dives
Market Spotlight series (IgniteIt)
One-day events focused on a single state's market: its regulators, operators and the investors active there. Coming up are California (Oct 7, 2026, Los Angeles) and New Jersey (February 2027, Jersey City).
How to choose
- Raising money or buying companies? Pick an investor-focused event where meetings are the point.
- Selling to operators? A large expo like MJBizCon gives you the most buyers per day.
- Launching in a new state? A state-focused event gets you in front of that market's licensees and regulators.
- Tracking federal reform? Washington events put you in the room with the people shaping it.

FAQ
What is the biggest cannabis conference?
MJBizCon in Las Vegas is the largest cannabis B2B trade show by exhibitor count and floor size. The 2026 show runs December 1–4.
What is the best cannabis conference for investors?
Events built around meetings between investors and operators work best. The Cannabis Capital Conference (March 25–26, 2027, Hollywood, FL) is designed for that. Note that IgniteIt produces it.
Are there cannabis conferences on the East Coast?
Yes. Washington DC (Nov 18, 2026), New York (Hall of Flowers, Oct 21–22, 2026), New Jersey (February 2027), Virginia Beach (CannaCon, Mar 18–19, 2027), Florida (Mar 25–26, 2027) and Boston (NECANN, Apr 9–10, 2027).
When should I register?
Most events offer early pricing that ends weeks before the show, and investor meeting slots fill first. Registering 6–8 weeks out is a safe rule.
