- Vertically integrated licenses. Each Medical Marijuana Treatment Center grows, processes and sells its own products. Licenses are scarce, which makes license value and M&A a big part of the story.
- No adult-use vote in 2026. Amendment 3 won 55.9% in 2024 but needed 60%. A 2026 attempt ended in March when the Florida Supreme Court declined to restore invalidated petition signatures, so the next possible vote is 2028.

The Cannabis Capital Conference has run for more than 20 editions, originally as the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference. Its focus is the work that capital requires: investor meetings, financing, M&A and the operators raising money.
Florida suits that. In April 2026, state-licensed medical marijuana moved to Schedule III, which lifts the 280E tax penalty for medical businesses. Florida is a medical-only market, so the change reaches its whole licensed industry.
