Brendan Fay is an investment manager with more than 20 years of experience raising and deploying capital across niche alternative investments. He is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Coda Capital Advisors, where he focuses on institutional private credit opportunities in the cannabis sector. Prior to founding Coda, Mr. Fay served as a Senior Vice President overseeing a multi-billion-dollar student housing investment portfolio, where he managed the performance of multiple investment vehicles, including closed-end funds, private accounts, and single-investor pools. He designed and implemented institutional-quality investment processes spanning origination, due diligence, asset management, and disposition, while also leading capital raising, investor relations, and fund administration initiatives. Earlier in his career, Mr. Fay served as Head of Special Situations at Doral Bank, where he restructured and ultimately sold a $1 billion portfolio of nonperforming commercial real estate loans in Puerto Rico. He began his career in the investment banking program at Bank of America.
