Polymath Sara Brittany "SB" Somerset, Ph.D. is a globally recognized communications executive and drug policy analyst with nearly two decades of experience across cannabis, psychedelics, biotech, and robotics. She founded the United Nations' first cannabis-focused news bureau and played a key role in the 2021 decision to remove cannabis from Schedule IV of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs international treaty.
A Chief Communications Officer for multiple public companies, including formerly Cybin (now Helus), SB has been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in cannabis. She is also a passionate advocate for global legalization and equitable access.
As a journalist, SB has covered the cannabis industry for every trade publication from The New York Times to High Times, and currently writes for the latter, as well as Cannabis & Tech Today, Greenstate, and Global Cannabis Times, among others.
