Reese Benton is a San Francisco cannabis entrepreneur, equity advocate, and founder of Posh Green Cannabis Boutique. A licensed cosmetologist and longtime entrepreneur, Reese entered the cannabis industry in 2016 through delivery and went on to become one of San Francisco’s early cannabis equity retail licensees.
In 2020, she opened Posh Green in Bayview-Hunters Point, becoming the first Black woman to open a dispensary in San Francisco.with no investors. Her leadership in cannabis equity has included contributing to the development of San Francisco’s Cannabis Equity Program and serving on the San Francisco COVID-19 Economic Recovery Task Force.
Reese has been recognized by the California Department of Cannabis Control for Posh Green’s role in advancing local cannabis equity and has been featured by Leafly, Forbes, Eaze, SFGATE, MG Magazine, and San Francisco Travel. She has also spoken about cannabis entrepreneurship and equity at Stanford/SLAC and industry events.
Today, Reese continues to build Posh Green as a luxury cannabis and lifestyle brand while advocating for ownership, opportunity, and greater representation in the cannabis industry.
